This is a webpage about the Semesterticket in Munich and the upcoming Deutschlandticket. The Semesterticket is a fixed fee that all students pay each semester to ride public transportation in the MVV network from 6 pm to 6 am on weekdays, and all day on weekends and holidays. For rides during the day, students need to purchase the IsarCard Semester. However, the Semesterticket does not provide as much access as the upcoming Deutschlandticket, a monthly subscription for the nationwide use of public transportation for €49. The AK Mobilität is responsible for negotiating Semesterticket conditions with the MVV, and the student union handles fee collection. The Solidarbeitrag fee, which is included in every student’s semester tuition, will be used to give students a full Semesterticket until the Deutschlandticket is available. This webpage also provides information on pricing and FAQs about the Semesterticket and the Deutschlandticket.
